RIP Prince

Prince is dead, unfortunately, but at least I was reminded of how much I dig his music.
If you have a stereo, now would be the time to blast it.

Buckroe Beach in Historical Hampton VA

Buckroe Beach is a little known beach on the Chesapeake Bay where I live with 2 boys Noah and Jacob,  Tiggs J. Fleabait the cat, Eva, who is half a dog at best and my wife. We live a block from the beach and 2 blocks from the main stage. We love the summers here! So much that we timeshare our field out to individuals whom would like to lease a small part of such a dynamic beach. 8' x 12' lots with a gorgeous view of the historic Chesapeake Bay! Affordable property with minimum commitment! We sell (lease, rent, barter) parking spots!(campground, beach rental, office space, timeshares, call it political asylum if  you need to!). It's our civic duty. The municipal lot fills quickly and the tow trucks are predatory. We have a lot of fun with it and one could always use a few dollars. We earn it, trust me on that one.
I started this blog because people don't know what they're missing. I lived down the road for 10 years before we moved here and I never realized what we were missing. Great family fun!  Concerts during the summer. Festivals of every theme. Clean, safe beaches with a park and more greenspace than many entire cities can boast. The city has thrown money at the area for years now and the Buckroe Beach Master Plan is becoming a reality. The trailer parks have been razed, the ill-kempt hotels are gone and the old is quickly being replaced by the new. If you want nightclubs and the resort area treatment, you go to VA Beach, if you want the family vacation on the beach, you go to Buckroe and that puts you in the middle of everything that Hampton Roads has to offer. It's a 30 minute drive, at most to to Busch Gardens and water country to the north or Norfolk's Waterside or Virginia Beach's Oceanfront to the south with everything in between. Everything. The population of a huge metropolis sprawled out upon an area large enough that shoulders don't rub.
So, give us a look before planning your next east coast vacation and if you find yourself in Buckroe, you can always park here!

Park @N 2ND St. Parking (that's me)  we're located at 120 Buckroe Ave.  Right on the corner of Buckroe and 2nd st. on the Beach side. Our competition resides on the same corner but across the street. I'm not one to hammer the competition , but it smells like dead bodies over there. just saying.
